The Black Decker D2030 Magic Iron And Ironing 101
Do you like ironing? If you are like me, well…
Giggle all you want. It wasn’t until later on in my life that I mastered ironing. See, I bought the Black & Decker D2030 digital advantage iron. Earlier on, I would have just simply never picked up clothes in stores that required ironing.
Then, my BIG job came along and suddenly I needed assistance. Thanks to my friend who irons everything bed sheets, pajamas, towels…..geez… say - everything!
The first step was to dump the old iron. Done! Then, she suggested I buy the ‘Decker D2030 iron.
Crikey Good!
I have to say that the D2030 iron makes a world of difference. The huge bursts of steam help to smooth out wrinkles quickly. And that…saves me time and frustrations. The iron cost a little for what it does. It’s like an upscale model for a very small investment.
If you are in a rush and have less time to iron, never overdry clothes. Remove them from the dryer while still a bit damp. Then, hang them up straight away! That simply eliminates the formation of wrinkles on certain fabrics.
Always check the clothing item’s tag to see what temperature the Black Decker D2030 iron should be set at. While ironing, use slow steady moves, never stopping. Iron lengthwise whenever you can. The more steam you have the better. The D2030 iron gives you plenty of it!
My friend was stunned seeing me ironing in circular motions! She explained that circular motions mess with the fabric and stretch it in the long run. Okay!
Pants, collars, cuffs and heavy clothes should all be ironed inside out, then turned back to iron the front side.
Hanging everything after ironing to avoid creating wrinkles makes sense.
TIP: If a shirt has a top button, button it up to keep shirt shoulders from slipping off the hanger. It really helps.
Ironing closer to the closet where you will be storing the ironed items makes it easier to put them away. Use the flat surface under the bed in small apartments where extra space is a bliss :).
You make want to try making ironing with the Black Decker D2030 even more effective. Try placing tin foil under your ironing board. It helps to reflect heat and prevents ironing temperature from dissipating.
