Kindle Helps Amazon To Record Third Quarter Figures
Apple and Sony are all in various stages of development with their new devices. Notwithstanding the fact that the e-book market is fairly new it is changing and expanding at phenomenal speed. Given Amazon’s domination thus far, and the fact that the Kindle is their number one selling product, it seems improbable that Amazon will rest on their laurels and watch the other manufacturers go away from them (as they did to Sony fairly recently).
Amazon is, of course, a long way from being a one trick pony. They enjoyed good growth in Amazon prime membership levels – which offer upgraded delivery options for a single annual payment. Growth was especially good in international markets.
A company spokesman advised that industry analysts could expect Amazon to grow both the categories of products available together with geographical expansion over time.
Q4 sales for Amazon.com are predicted to be in the region of $8.13 billion and $9.13 billion.
